Meet John and His Family

John was born in Decatur, IN, but grew up in Taiwan for 15 of his first 18 years of life. Through that experience, the Lord seemed to compel him to “help people” in his ministry. That he’s been interested in doing since high school graduation.

Initially, the Lord directed him into the field of education, both as teacher and then administrator. As Abraham’s servant said when pursuing a wife for Isaac, “I being in the way, the Lord led me” (Genesis 24:27). Following that time of ministry, the Lord saw fit to direct him into pastoral ministry, where he has served the majority of his years in ministry.

John initially served at Calvary Baptist Schools and Church in Lansdale, PA. He followed that by ministering at Suburban Baptist Schools and Church, Indianapolis, IN. He now serves as Family, Counseling, and Missions Pastor at Hampton Park Baptist Church, Greenville, SC.

Prior to his two oldest daughters getting married, they asked him to write a book on parenting.  That led to him writing three more books , and from those four, the Lord has opened up doors for them to travel and bring seminars on a varied schedule and overseas.  During the past seven years, those trips have been taken during his vacation time.  As the invitations began to grow,  that prompted him to believe the Lord was “leading” him into doing this full time.

John and Suzie have four grown-and-married children, and twelve grandchildren.
